From the moment you book, until long after your photos are delivered, I want this experience to be meaningful for you!

You see, when you invest in a photographer, you're investing in a lot more than someone to snap photos. I'm there to make sure the whole process flows seamlessly for you. After you book, you can expect a couple of things...

First, I ask all of my clients to fill out a super short questionnaire to help me get to know you better! I want to know more about you and each member of your family, so that I can offer the best possible experience for you behind the lens.

Along with a questionnaire, I'll send over a "What to Wear Guide" to help ease any outfit-related stress. I know choosing outfits can be tough, so I've put together my best tips and advice to help you choose clothes that feel like you AND photograph well. However, I wouldn't stress too much! If you wear what you love, that’s going to be the most beautiful of all!

Finally, if you remember anything, remember this: I never expect you to be a model. My job is to help you relax, feel natural, and be your true, comfortable self in front of the lens. You don't need to worry about practicing poses or let the nerves take over, I'll be sure the end result is something you love!

I want to make the process from computer to coffee table as easy as possible for you, so I’ve chosen the best of the best when it comes to albums and prints and included them in a shop right through my gallery. Upon delivery, you will be able to download your photos and print WHEREVER you like -- whether that's through me or somewhere else you like to shop!

1. WE LOVE CANDIDS - DO YOU ONLY INCLUDE CANDIDS IN your packages?

Absolutely! I LOVE candids too, and think every photo session should include both -- the fun candids & the beautifully posed photos (where everyone is looking at the camera). For me, it's never either or!

2. HOW WILL YOU DELIVER MY PHOTOS?

I shoot digital and deliver all of my sessions via an online gallery. You are welcome to print your photos wherever you like and I will always include some of my go-to places to print upon delivery!

3. WHAT AREA DO YOU COVER? WILL YOU TRAVEL?

Absolutely! Currently, I'm based out of St. Paul, MN and am often making my way back and forth between Duluth (my hometown) and Red Wing (my husband's hometown). If you have another area you're interested in, reach out and I can offer a custom quote for travel fees.

4. WHAT IS YOUR EDITING POLICY? WILL YOU PHOTOSHOP (FILL IN THE BLANK)?

I'm a strong believer that you are beautiful just the way you are! For this reason, I will not use extensive photoshop to make alterations on body shape, sizes and I do not photoshop people into or out of photos. However, I do personally edit each and every image to enhance the beauty that's already there, and will retouch anything that would not normally be there (like a skin blemish, bruise, etc.)

5. DO YOU INCLUDE BLACK & WHITE PHOTOS?

Yes! I love black & whites. The amount I include varies each session because no one session is the same, however each session will include some. (Lifestyle sessions will include more, since there will be more photos included.)

6. DO YOU Offer SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT TO WEAR FOR SESSIONS?

Yes! I know choosing outfits can be stressful and I truly want to make this experience as stress-free as possible for you! Upon booking, I will send over a what-to-wear guide to help ease any outfit related stress. However, I wouldn't stress too much about it -- it's your connection we're really after!

7. HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?

In ALL of my sessions, I take a natural, candid approach. I love warmth and earthy tones. Natural light and laughter. To put it simply, my heart is to capture moments. I do this through guiding you into poses and movements that help you relax, feel natural, and be your true, comfortable self in front of the lens. I don't use special studio lighting or use stiff poses - it's just not my style or what I do best! However, I will capture beautiful moments with you and your loved ones in a natural, meaningful way.

8. DO YOU HAVE A STUDIO WE CAN MEET AT?

Not at this time! The majority of my sessions are outside. However, I do offer in-home sessions! If you are interested in an in-home session but are not comfortable using your space, we are currently taking a limited amount of in-home session at our apartment (think cabin-style loft)! Let me know if you'd like more details and I can send you more info with photos on the space!

9. DO YOU REQUIRE A DOWNPAYMENT TO BOOK A SESSION?

At this time, I don't require a down payment beforehand for lifestyle sessions. I will send you an invoice upon booking to be paid via credit card or bank transfer by the date of your session. However, I also accept cash or check on site -- just let me if you would prefer this option!

Each year I take on a limited number of extended family sessions. Since extended family sessions include multiple families, I offer a special package just for this - it's a bit of a combination of both my packages above! For extended family sessions, I only do one location and one outfit -- this is simply because there are a lot of people to coordinate with and I want to make the most of our time together. Before our session, I'll work with you to create a "shot-list" so that we can guarantee you'll get all the family combinations you want! (i.e. the whole group, just the grandkids, each individual family, etc.) This does not mean those will be the ONLY shots I get - in the midst of it all there will be time for candids as well!

10. DO YOU do extended family sessions?

I love helping you get your photos in print! While I don't include albums in my packages, I now offer a custom album design service that you can add on to any package. Take a look at the album options here.

11. DO YOU offer albums with your packages?

I will deliver your full gallery to you 1-2 weeks after your session!
