I met Sam + Alex at college a few years ago and have loved getting to reconnect with them now that they’re engaged!! These two started dating their first year of college, and as Sam’s former RA, I’m straight up giddy to get to photograph their big day. Tell me the story of your proposal!
We went to the Original Pancake House where we went on our first date, then we went to the MN landscape arboretum to walk around for a while, then when we got home there were lights and candles and pictures all over our apartment for the big moment!
How did you know your partner was the one?
We started off getting to know each other as good friends in college. 8 months later we started dating. We have always enjoyed each other’s company and never run out of things to talk about. It’s hard to say when we knew for sure that it was meant to be, but we fell in love and couldn’t imagine life without each other.
What does marriage mean to you?
While marriage means so many things for us, we believe marriage is a promise to love each other unconditionally through the good times and bad. It is a commitment to be supportive of one another no matter what. Through our marriage we want to build a strong foundation for our family and remember that even when times get hard, we will always have each other. We will be best friends for a lifetime together and we couldn’t be more excited for the big day.
