As a wedding photographer, I love capturing all love stories but it’s extra sweet when it ends up being two people I’ve grown up with.
There was a distinct moment during Kylee & Brian’s wedding day when I flashed back to middle school sleepovers with Kylee and realized that this is exactly what we would have dreamed of — sitting around a gorgeous table setting with a crew of old high school friends, celebrating Kylee’s wedding day.
Of course, we didn’t know it would be Brian at the time — they didn’t start dating until after high school, but now that they’re together, I can’t believe we didn’t know back then because they are so incredibly, obviously perfect together.
The three of us initially reconnected when Kylee won a session giveaway a couple of years ago. I believe Brian’s exact words after the session were… “that wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be,” and from there, I’ve had the absolute honor of capturing all their biggest moments since!
Kylee and Brian took everything that covid threw their way and met it with such GRACE. As plans continued to change they kept on rolling, knowing at the end of the day their marriage was most important. They chose to get married with their closest friends and family this year, and celebrate with the whole crew next year. (So I’m not done capturing their most important days yet!)
