Fall seems to just pop out of nowhere sometimes and this last week was just that here in Duluth with color peeking out everywhere.
The fleeting moments of Fall are part of what makes it so special — we only have a few weeks to get out there and take in all the beauty before winter sets in! So I’m doing all I can to soak in my favorite season, in my favorite city.
This time of year is truly a magical time to capture photos along the North Shore & throughout Duluth. I still have a few dates left for a Fall session, so if you want to get in on all the magic, shoot me a note soon so we can get you booked! Here are just a FEW of the places we could capture your Fall photos…
Hawk’s Ridge
Nestled right above Lakeside, this spot gives beautiful views of the hills of Duluth & Lake Superior and at peak color is beyond stunning to capture at for some dramatic backdrops. The dirt roads and small trails add the perfect touch, while still being just a quick trip from anywhere in the city.
Spirit Mountain
Another spot offering up sweeping views of Duluth, this time with snapshots of the harbor and Lift Bridge. I love the mix of greenery and the skill hill with the changing leaves, creating a brightly colorful backdrop no matter the weather. Off the hill, there are plenty of small trails to transport you to the woods.
Hartley Nature Center
A quintessential nature spot so if you like an outdoorsy vibe, look no further. It has towering pines, no shortage of changing foliage and also a beautiful overlook spot offering up the 360 views you long for this time of year.
Jay Cooke State Park
Just south of Duluth, this state park brings a variety of elements that create the perfect mix of Fall vibes. There’s no shortage of colorful leaves but also with the river running through the park the subtle touch of water brings an all around variety in every single shot.
Hope you take some time in the next few weeks to get out there and take in the beauty – I sure will be, Maple Latte in hand!
