There’s something special about watching someone’s life unfold over 3, 5, 10+ years. We were in middle school when Faith and I first met. As you can imagine, a lot has changed since those days, and somehow, nothing at all.

Faith was always the type of person that filled a room – the kind that brings life wherever she walks. It only takes a few moments with their daughter to see she inherited that same spark. And Peter, he’s the guy walking hand in hand with these strong women — he brings the calm, the charm and laughter — so much laughter. (See the last photo of their little girl to see what I mean. Only funny faces from dad brings that kind of smile.)

On St. Patty’s Day, Faith’s family and I met for a family session along the shores of Lake Superior — and to say we lucked out with weather was an understatement. Springtime in Duluth is anything but predictable, and yet, we had sunshine and temps approaching the 50s.

So, as we wait for the sun to return and while snowflakes fall past my window, here’s a little glimpse of Spring and this fun-loving family of three.
