I’m so excited to share some highlights from my first wedding of the season! An intimate courthouse ceremony with close family before racing down to the lake for sunset. (So pretty much the greatest way to kick off the wedding season.)

The date behind this wedding day holds a whole lot of meaning for these two. Matt’s father passed away when he was young, so they chose to get married on his dad’s birthday as a way to honor and include him in the day. And it was a beautiful tribute to him, indeed.

After what seemed like one of the coldest stretches we had this winter, the sun decided to peak out and made for these beautiful first look photos in front of the Duluth courthouse and afterwards, along the lake.
